A Russian drone strike destroyed a logistics branch of Nova Poshta in Lutsk. The attack was part of a wider overnight assault across Ukraine that began before dawn.
The strike caused severe damage to the Nova Poshta facility. The company confirmed that the branch was completely destroyed. At the time of the attack, all employees were inside shelters. No injuries or deaths were reported at the location.
The overnight assault affected several regions across the country. Explosions were reported in Kyiv, Khmelnytsky, Poltava, Sumy, Mykolaiv, and Kryvyi Rih. Ukrainian air defense systems were active throughout the night as they attempted to stop incoming drones and missiles.
According to official data, 339 aerial targets were launched during the attack. Ukrainian forces intercepted 298 of them. Despite this high interception rate, some drones and missiles managed to reach their targets and cause damage.
In Lutsk, the impact was not limited to the logistics branch. A warehouse belonging to a retail chain was also hit. A residential apartment building suffered damage as well. A fire broke out on one of the balconies, raising concern among residents in the area.
Emergency services responded quickly. Firefighters worked to contain the blaze, while police secured the surroundings to prevent further risks.
Nova Poshta confirms destruction and begins damage assessment
Nova Poshta confirmed the destruction of its branch in Lutsk shortly after the incident. The company stated that it has started assessing the full extent of the damage caused by the strike.
Specialists from the State Emergency Service (DSNS) and law enforcement agencies are working at the site. Their efforts include clearing debris, checking structural safety, and documenting the damage for further investigation.

The company is also examining the condition of parcels that were inside the facility. Many shipments are expected to have been damaged or destroyed due to the explosion and resulting fire.
Nova Poshta announced that it will compensate customers for all lost or damaged shipments. It also stated that affected clients will be contacted directly in the coming days with further details.
The destruction of the branch may lead to delivery delays in and around Lutsk. However, the company continues to operate its network in other regions, ensuring that services remain available where possible.
Previous strikes on Nova Poshta facilities across Ukraine
This is not the first time Nova Poshta has been affected by Russian strikes. The company has faced a series of similar incidents over recent months, impacting its operations and infrastructure.
In March, Russian forces targeted a major Nova Poshta hub in Zaporizhzhia. Earlier in January, a missile strike hit a branch in Kharkiv. That incident resulted in the deaths of four employees and caused significant damage to the facility.
In December last year, a drone strike destroyed a branch in the Odesa region. The value of the damaged parcels in that incident was estimated at Hr.2 million, which is approximately $45,450.
The company was also forced to close its last remaining branch in Sviatohirsk, Donetsk region. This decision was taken due to ongoing shelling and repeated drone activity near the front line, which made operations unsafe.
These repeated incidents show that logistics infrastructure has been repeatedly affected during the conflict.

Civilian infrastructure continues to be affected
The strike in Lutsk highlights the impact of attacks on civilian infrastructure. Logistics centers like those operated by Nova Poshta are essential for daily life, as they help transport goods, supplies, and essential items across the country.
In addition to the Nova Poshta branch, the attack caused damage to a retail warehouse and a residential building. Fires and structural damage were reported, increasing concern among local residents.
Emergency teams remain active at the site, continuing their work to manage the aftermath of the strike. Authorities are assessing the full scale of the damage and ensuring that the area is safe.
Despite repeated attacks on its facilities, Nova Poshta continues to maintain its operations across Ukraine.
