Former intelligence officer Yoshinaga Kenji discussed rising tensions around Japan. He mentioned a nearby country, which is China, without saying its name. The paper he talked about says China is becoming a big problem for Japan. Because of this, Japan is boosting its defense and teaming up more with allies. The paper says countries need to work together on security issues. Japanese Defense Minister Kihara Minoru agreed and stressed the importance of international cooperation.

Additionally, the white paper points out the intensifying military activities around Taiwan. By suggesting an attempt to normalise such actions and improve combat capabilities. Response to Japan’s Defense White Paper

The Defense of Japan 2024 white paper has been criticized by China for its portrayal of regional security dynamics. Zhang Xiaogang described the white paper as filled with clichés and misleading information. Which distorts the international community’s perception of China. He asserted that the document serves as an evidence for Japan’s own military buildup. Although China has rejected other claims. In response, China has stared stern representations with Japan. Legitimate Maritime and Air Activities
